DEETEK

DEETEK is a strictly house/techno/bass night that is held is the deep dark basement of Sophbeck, Leicester's well know after party club. Run by Kurtis and Moe this night is for people who come out to listen to specific types of music. I have created a nice style to compliment these photos as the room it is held in is fairly dark, has a low ceiling and has a bit of a grimy smell, so the photos follow suit with been a little dark and grimy.

The GHOST Experience

Recently I have grown in the nightlife, from starting out at Religion, a night put on by some promoters in leicester over a year ago now I have since been asked to shoot in Leeds, and surrounding Leicestershire clubs shooting some fairly big names such as Goldie, Jakwob, Westwood, Radio 1's Charlie Sloth and others I have now been asked to shoot a new Saturday night event at the GHOST club in Leicester.

Back on track

OK... Time to get this blog back on track after I haven't updated it in quite a long time. Alot has happened in the recent months so I will just slowly update it with images, jobs, shoots, news and general updates in the near future.

More Colour Reverse 35mm Film

This time I have processed some shots from earlier in the year when I did a modelling shoot with Bex. I shot a roll of film with her as well as using the 5D mk2. Recently I have had the films developed and I have done some minor editing but not loads as I want to keep the film feel to them.

35mm Film

Recently I started to shoot with my 35mm Pentax K1000 as a photographer who I assist gave me 8 rolls of expired film. The film went out of date in 2004 so its been gone a fair while and I was really looking forward to using them to see the colours and the grain, even though it was 100 ISO. So far I have shot 4 rolls, one in Sheffield when I went filming with H I D E O U T B M X, another when I did a photo shoot earlier in the year with Bex, one at a car show called Players 6.0 that was held in Essex and the last one when I went on holiday with my family to Northumberland and Edinburgh.

SuCasa

Sucasa is a new house/deep house/techno event that was starting up in Leicester in an underground location, I was contacted and asked to photograph the launch night as they had seen some of my club work and wanted to use me. I went down to the night and got shooting, using some different techniques and settings to usual as I wanted to show the grittiness of the location as well as taking the usual photos of the DJ's.
