A Life Style

Considering I ride BMX and have done for nearly 6 years now, I don't shoot nearly half as much as I would like to, I ride for a small company called H I D E O U T B M X, they produce limited hand made apparel from t-shirts to bags, hats to jumpers, and stickers. We produce videos as and when we can and we always get a lot of good feedback off them. Here is some of my work from a sport that has turned into a life style.

A New Religion

There has been a new night start up in Leicester on a Tuesday, in a room that has been freshly refurbished at the back of Rockafellas, the night is called Religion, it is all about cutting out the crap and cheesy music and playing what people want to hear, going in hard with a mixture of grime, hip-hop, dubstep and drum and bass, along with a few fruity numbers to mix things up. Guy contacted me and asked if I was up for being resident photographer as he wanted to have the photos shot with a fisheye, so I accepted and shot from the start, it's going really well and the guest list has been maxed out for the 7th week running now.

To The Studio

Following the home coming gig at SUB91 By The Rivers saw the photos and got so stoked on them Nile contacted me and asked if I wanted to be the bands photographer, I said yes of course! So they then had a few weeks in a studio in Leicester to record their new album, they asked me to document the ins and outs and general banter from the coming weeks so here is a few shots that I picked out from the best part of a months recording.

By The Rivers

My friends Jordan and Nile have been in a series of bands though the years and as I have grown up with them I have supported them at gigs and things like that, recently they formed a group called By The Rivers, they have been going for just over a year or so now and are flying, they were asked to go and support The Specials on their full UK tour! Anyway when they got back they played a home coming gig at SUB91 in Leicester with support from Elephant and Park Bench Society, I asked jordan if I would be able to shoot it and without hesitation he said yeh no worries mate. The gig was incredible and everyone was stoked on it. Here are some of the photos that I selected form the night.

Getting Up To Date

I have been snowed under with editing and other work that I haven't really had time to upload anything but I had bait of time at work this morning to gather the best of my past work to show to you. To come is two model shoots one with Bex and another with Ellen, some of my night club photography as I have been made a resident photographer on a Tuesday night for a night called Religion Tuesdays also with this is some band photos from By The Rivers who have made me their band photographer so I will be uploading a gig they played and also some studio work they have been working on, and another band called Park Bench Society who have also asked me to photograph them. I will be uploading some of my BMX photography that I have gathered over the past year or so too and that should be me all up to date!
